SSS God of War Decree

Chapter 1 The Return of the War God

"Are you my dad?"

"Are you in heaven?"

"Mom said you're dead? She won't let me contact you?"

"I stole Mom's phone."

"Are you doing well in heaven? Is anyone bullying you? Earth is not fun at all; many people bully me and say I'm a fatherless wild child."

"By the way, Mom is getting married again. I really won't have a dad in the future. Can you take me to heaven?"

...

Greafank Bus Station!

A tall and upright figure, clad in a black windbreaker and sporting sunglasses, lingered in the airport corner, absorbed in a phone message he had just received.

He clenched his five fingers, and there was a surge of excitement in his heart. At this moment, his phone rang, and he pressed the answer button: "Have you found out?"

"Lord, the matter has been thoroughly examined. The young woman who rescued you six years ago goes by the name Leila Harper. She is the eldest daughter of Theo Harper, the third son of the esteemed Master Harper from the Harper family in Greafank. Six years ago, after experiencing a loss of innocence, she grappled with thoughts of suicide but was thankfully intervened by someone."

Upon hearing this, the man tightly held his phone, his face darkening. Although it was Summer, the temperature suddenly dropped, and those around him couldn't help but shiver, a chill enveloping them from head to toe.

His name was Walter Wells, and he hailed from the Wells family in Vetrad!

Six years ago, a conspiracy unfurled against him within the Wells family. With the shield of loyal subordinates, he managed to escape, yet he fell victim to poisoning. Drained and weary, he crumpled in Greafank Park, where a caring girl took him in, tending to him with utmost attentiveness.

Danger followed. As the poison took effect, he forcibly took the girl's virginity without explanation. Pursued by enemies, critically injured, and on the brink of death, he fell into the rushing river. Only through this did he recover his life.

He ended up abroad, rescued by soldiers from the Dragon Shrine on a mission.

Six years later, he went from an unknown soldier to the Dragon Lord of the Dragon Shrine!

He once single-handedly faced ten thousand elite enemy troops and slew them all!

He once infiltrated the enemy's ranks alone, beheading the enemy's commander.

He was the renowned Lord of the Dragon Shrine abroad!

He was the fearsome god of death that made enemies tremble.

Moreover, he was the youngest general in Draconia's history and a holder of the Draconia Medal!

Now, with stability abroad, he returned to Greafank to repay the debt of gratitude from years past.

"I want all the information on Leila, everything!"

"My Lord, I have forwarded Leila's information to you, but it would be prudent for you to prepare beforehand."

Walter hung up the phone, opened his email, and received a file.

Leila: A 26-year-old woman hailing from the esteemed Harper family in Greafank, known for her exceptional talents. Six years ago, during her junior year, she stumbled upon a severely injured man on her way back to school. Compassionately, she brought him home to nurse him back to health, only to become the target of persecution. Following a tragic loss of innocence, the antagonist mysteriously vanished. Facing a life without dignity, Leila was rescued from the brink of suicide and subjected to house arrest, becoming a mockery in Greafank.

One month later!

The George family, a less prominent entity in Greafank, sought the services of the more reputable Harper family, agreeing to a substantial sum for their assistance. In a strategic move, the Harper family utilized Leila as a bargaining chip to seal the deal. However, on the day of the engagement, a public spectacle unfolded as Leila, in a twist of fate, publicly vomited. A subsequent diagnosis revealed her pregnancy, leading the George family to publicly break off the engagement. This turn of events transformed Leila into the center of ridicule, making her the most significant joke in all of Greafank.

Later, despite numerous obstacles, Leila gave birth to twins!

A boy and a girl!

Snap!

Walter clenched his fist, "Leila, I owe you, and I, Walter, will spend the rest of my life repaying you!"

He made up his mind, took steps, and approached an unlicensed black business car in the corner.

The man driving, wearing a black vest and a duckbill cap, respectfully asked as Walter got in, "Lord, today is the day of Leila's engagement ceremony to Ernie Stewart of the Stewart family."

Walter raised an eyebrow: "What's going on?"

"Lord, within the context of Greafank, the Harper family holds a status deemed as second-rate. Leila, once acclaimed as a talented individual within the Harper family, has, unfortunately, encountered a series of persistent misfortunes in recent years, turning her into the object of ridicule throughout Greafank. Luis, a member of the Harper family, is now eager and determined to secure a settlement for Leila. Meanwhile, Ernie, known for his indulgent tendencies, belongs to the Stewart family, another second-rate household. In a strategic move driven by business considerations, the Harper family is inclined to facilitate a marriage between Leila and Ernie."

Walter put down his phone: "Which hotel?"

"Lord, at the Jade Majesty Hotel. And..." The man paused in his speech. "I just received the news. When you were chased to Greafank, it was the Stewart family who secretly helped the Wells family. They revealed your whereabouts and drugged you, then threw you into the rushing river."

Stewart family?

Walter lightly exhaled: "Go to the Jade Majesty Hotel!"

Jade Majesty Hotel was abuzz with activities!

Tonight was exceptionally lively!

Countless opulent cars convened early, with guests arriving and departing in a flurry of activity. Within the hotel dressing room, Leila gazed at her reflection in the mirror, a self-mocking smile playing on her lips. "I, Leila, won't surrender so easily," she affirmed.

As she stood up, two little ones rushed into her arms.

A boy and a girl!

The boy was only five years old, but between his dark eyes, there was a hint of maturity not befitting his age. "Mom, if you don't want to get married, then don't. Riley will protect you."

The girl, with a ponytail, blinked her watery eyes. "Mom, is Dad really dead?"

"Sister, we don't have a dad!" The boy said firmly.

The little girl pouted, looking especially aggrieved. Leila rubbed the heads of the two children, "You two have to be good later. Mom has things to take care of. You'll follow Auntie Marie later."

"Not me!" Riley Harper held onto Leila's small hand, "Mom, I want to be with you. If that old man dares to bully you, watch how I deal with him."

"And me too, Mom." Quinn Harper waved her fists, her little face turning red, looking exceptionally lovely.

Leila looked at her two children in front of her, feeling her heart ache.

"Are you done? Your son-in-law can't wait any longer." Nicole Cooke walked in, grumbling.

Quinn and Riley instinctively shouted, "Grandma!"

Nicole pushed Riley and Quinn away with some disgust, "Two unlucky brats, roll as far as you can. Tonight is your mom's wedding. If you dare to cause trouble, I'll tear your mouths apart when I get back."

Leila quickly stood in front of the two children, "Mom, what are you doing?"

Nicole swiftly adjusted her tone, saying, "Leila, Mr. Stewart holds considerable status and influence, despite his age. The advantage of his maturity is that he knows how to appreciate and value individuals. Consider your own situation—unmarried, pregnant with twins. Having someone genuinely interested in you is quite noteworthy."

"Why are you still picking on things now?"

"Do you still have feelings for that rapist?"

"Back then, you kindly saved him as a fugitive, and he treated you like this? Making you live in such misery."

Nicole grumbled, "But it doesn't matter. Now, Mr. Stewart is willing to take the blame. This is the best outcome for you. Don't underestimate this opportunity. Do you know that as long as you are with Mr. Stewart, your father can get a ten million business contract?"

"By then, your father won't have to bow to others in the family anymore."

Nicole's words were full of manipulation. Riley gritted his teeth, "Grandma, my mom doesn't want to marry that fat guy."

"Shut up, you wild child. Who is your grandma? I don't have a grandson like you. If it weren't for your mom, I would've slapped you to death."

Leila stood in front of Nicole, "Mom, why are you arguing with a child? I'll marry, alright?"

"Good, good!" Nicole was delighted. "As long as you marry Ernie, Quinn's illness can be treated. Isn't that great?"

Quinn?

Illness!

Leila clenched her fists, and a tear fell. It was the only motivation that kept her alive.

Nicole couldn't be bothered to look at her. "Leila, at this point, you can't resist anymore. The guests outside are already here. Get ready and come out."

She slammed the door shut, leaving the room.

Inside the room.

Leila finally couldn't hold back, squatting down. Riley and Quinn threw themselves into Nicole's arms. Quinn cried, "Mom, don't cry. I'm not in pain, I'm not sick. Mom, don't marry. Let's go find Dad. Quinn just sent a message to Dad with Mom's phone, and Dad said he'll be here soon!"

"What?"

Leila was stunned, "Quinn, what are you talking about?"

Quinn carefully took out the phone and handed it to Leila. Leila looked at the phone screen, and her tears no longer held back.

On the phone...

There were only three words —

"Wait for me!"

Chapter 2 He's Still Alive

"Could it be... he's really still alive?"

Leila's mind roared, and tears fell from the corners of her eyes. She thought, "You're actually alive? Then where have you been these six years?"

Riley was a bit nervous, "Mom, there must be a misunderstanding."

"Yes." Leila wiped away her tears, "There must be some misunderstanding, after all, this number..."

Leila shook her head. In the past six years, she had secretly dialed this number many times, but there was never an answer. Suddenly getting a reply today, maybe the owner of the number has changed?

She self-mockingly smiled, "Riley, you're the older brother. Take care of your sister later. Mom will be fine. And Auntie Marie will come to pick you up."

Riley nervously held Leila's small hand, "Mom, I won't leave you."

"Behave." Leila pretended to be angry, "Riley, are you not listening either?"

"I'm not!" Riley pouted in grievance, "I'm afraid that bad guy will bully Mom."

"Silly child, don't worry." Leila affectionately touched Riley's forehead, "Mom will be fine. If he bullies me, don't you think I know how to run?"

Before Riley could speak, the door was pushed open, and a charming figure walked in. Leila looked at the person, smiled, seemingly relaxed a lot...

Inside Jade Majesty Hotel!

A middle-aged man, portly, wearing a suit, his balding head reflecting the light, had a triumphant look on his face as he continuously greeted the guests.

He is the protagonist of tonight, Ernie, Leila's fiancé?

Ernie looked at the gathered guests, feeling a bit eager, "It's already this time; why hasn't Leila arrived?"

"Ernie, why the rush?" Jay Harper, with a wine glass in hand, smirked as he joined Ernie. "Despite my cousin having welcomed two illegitimate children, her figure remains impeccable. I believe tonight, you will be the most content man in all of Greafank. And if my speculation holds, Leila hasn't sucked any man yet, correct?"

Ernie's enthusiasm grew, and he clinked glasses with Jay, stating, "Cousin articulated it perfectly. I anticipate double happiness with Leila, all thanks to my cousin's intervention."

Jay burst into hearty laughter. He was Tate Harper's only son and the future heir to the Harper family!

However, Leila's business acumen was too powerful, making him wary since childhood. Even now, despite constantly making a fool of himself, he still feared her. As long as he could drive Leila out of the Harper family, what did it matter?

The entire Harper family belonged to him.

"Look, Leila came."

"This woman finally is gonna tie the knot."

"But it's really a pity. She was mistreated six years ago, and look at her now."

"Now Mr. Stewart is willing to overlook the past and hold a wedding for her. It is her honor."

"Although Mr. Stewart has been married three times, so many young girls are willing to marry him."

...

As Leila stepped out, a multitude of hushed whispers and pointing fingers followed her. Despite the shadow on her reputation, she remained the most captivating woman in the room. Draped in a white dress that accentuated her elegant figure, she exuded a timeless beauty.

Indeed, the epitome of beauty!

On her snow-like face, there was a natural and elegant temperament, like a fairy, stunning everyone. Ernie couldn't help but swallow saliva, "So sexy."

He had meticulously planned the most thrilling posture for the bed.

Among the guests...

Luis, in his twilight years, looked at Leila with murky eyes, a hint of anger flashing. He had placed many hopes on Leila, but he hadn't expected this.

How did Leila find herself in this situation? However, marrying Ernie could serve as a means for the Harper family to slowly undermine the influence of the Stewart family, ultimately bolstering the Harper family's strength. This became Leila's final contribution and worth.

In front of Luis, there were three men. The one in the front, wearing a red flower on his chest, was Leila's father, the Harper family's third son—

Otis Harper!

Behind Otis, there were two more men. One exuded calm disdain, the other a sneer of contempt.

As Leila walked out, her gaze fell on Otis. When their eyes met, Otis turned away, crushing Leila's last hope.

She was overwhelmed by self-mockery!

Is this her father?

A father who viewed her merely as a tool to extract the last remnants of value?

Nicole approached Leila, lowering her voice, "Leila, don't lose sight of your identity. Currently, in all of Greafank, finding someone like Mr. Harper is a rare feat. Do you genuinely believe you're still the Miss Harper from days gone by?"

"Even if you're not considering yourself, consider your brother. He just turned eighteen this year. Grandfather mentioned that if you remain steadfast, your brother will handle some of the Harper family's affairs in the future. At that point, our third branch can establish a solid position within the Harper family."

"Now, as a mother, all my hopes are on your brother."

Leila's heart was bleeding. As the one born of the same mother, what was she?

A machine?

Not even a machine!

She couldn't help but tighten the dagger in her hand, "Riley, Quinn, forgive Mom's weakness. I really couldn't hold on any longer."

At the same time!

Outside the third ring of Greafank!

A black unmarked business car was speeding, followed by more than ten black Audis, forming a triangle to protect the business car.

"Lord, it appears that we've received the news. The other brothers are en route," the driver conveyed with respect. If a leader from a certain country were to witness this driver, it might instill a sense of awe, perhaps even prompting them to kneel on the ground.

He was none other than the Nightkill King, one of the twelve kings of the Dragon Shrine!

The Dragon Shrine had one lord, four gods, and twelve kings!

"Tell the other brothers not to come. I just returned, so let's keep a low profile." Walter closed his eyes, tapping his fingers rhythmically. Nightkill nodded, exhaling lightly, "Yes!"

The convoy sped like the wind, and with the distance widening between them and other vehicles, Walter still felt it wasn't fast enough, "How much longer until we arrive?"

"Lord, according to the current speed, ten minutes!"

"Faster!"

"Yes!" Nightkill didn't hesitate at all, once again increasing the speed. But in less than a minute, the speed slowed down. Walter lightly opened his closed eyes, "What's happening?"

"Lord, there's a group of people racing ahead, blocking our way at the moment!" Nightkill looked embarrassed. Walter raised an eyebrow, looking ahead at the group of racing cars.

All modified for speed, it was obvious that they were wealthy youths, even some provocatively dressed women were in a few supercars, gesturing with their middle fingers towards the rear.

Taunting!

Blatant taunting!

On the silver McLaren in the middle, a young man looked at the convoy in the rearview mirror, a disdainful expression on his face, "Do they really think they're leaders? Forming a convoy? Today, I won't give way to you. Let's see what you can do. Order my brothers to block the convoy behind me, and preferably not let them leave alive."

The young man in the silver McLaren chuckled heartily, "A bunch of fools. Do they still think they can be arrogant once they've set foot in Greafank?"

"Don't they know they should inquire about Greafank before being arrogant?"

"If you've got the skill, overtake me. If you've got the guts, collide with me."

His laughter echoed, prompting everyone in the convoy to glance back and raise their middle fingers!

Provocation!

This was an outrage!

Nightkill tightly gripped the steering wheel, eyes burning with anger, "Lord, they..."

Walter closed his eyes again, lips parted, and uttered a chilling word, "Crash."

Chapter 3 Bride Snatching

"Yes."

At this moment, Nightkill hesitated for no moment and chose to accelerate in a straight line.

In the convoy!

The young master also looked stunned, "I don't believe you dare to crash into me?"

Beside him, a woman reassured, "Mr. Cooke, be at ease. This is merely a ruse to mislead us. You are Mr. Cooke. In Greafank, nobody would dare collide with you, not even those yet to be born."

As the woman's words fell, Cohen's face changed drastically, a hint of fear flashing in his eyes.

Here he came!

He was here.

The convoy behind, resembling a charging rhinoceros, showed no signs of slowing down. Even the subsequent convoys exhibited no alterations, continuing to surge directly toward them.

Cohen couldn't be careless and quickly turned the wheel to the side!

Unfortunately, too late!

Bang!

A loud noise rang out, and Cohen's McLaren directly lost control and crashed into the guardrail. Other cars were even worse; some were not able to avoid it and were flipped upside down.

Cohen's eyes were full of hostility: "Damn it, you dare to crash into me? I'll make you regret it."

Cohen clenched his iron-like fist, and Nightkill in the car sneered, "You're lucky I didn't crash you to death."

Murder!

For Cohen, murder was a very simple matter.

Five minutes later!

At the entrance of the Jade Majesty Hotel, the convoy stopped, and Nightkill respectfully said, "Lord, we've arrived."

"Hmm." Walter nodded.

In his measured words, a trace of intense coldness surfaced. Walter's deep-set eyes fixed on the bustling hotel before him, a glint of brilliance flickering within them. "It's been six years; I've finally returned!"

In the hotel!

Nicole, holding Leila's delicate hand, approached Ernie with an ingratiating smile. "Ernie, Mom has entrusted Leila to you," she said.

Ernie grinned, revealing yellowed teeth, glanced at Leila and Nicole, and nodded repeatedly. "You can rest assured; I'll take good care of Leila," he affirmed.

His gaze never left the two women, and he even had the thought of double joy.

Leila, looking at Ernie's outstretched hand, felt disgusted. Instinctively, she took a step back, but Nicole held her hand, and with a stern face, lowered her voice, "What? Don't you want to cure your little bitch now?"

Clang!

Leila's heart quivered once more as she thought of her two children. She felt a sense of numbness as Ernie extended his hand to draw her in front of him. The small hand, concealed within the folds of the white skirt, suddenly tightened around the hairpin, brimming with death wishes. She even closed her eyes slightly, whispering, "Quinn, I'm sorry. Mom can't be with you any longer."

Resigned to death, with less pressure, she seemed to have gained liberation.

Six years of humiliation seemed nothing now. If there was a heaven, she would find that person and ask why he did such things to her.

As Leila ceased her resistance, the onlooking hotel guests wore expressions of disdain, even contempt. "Leila, doesn't Mr. Stewart, a handsome and affluent man, love you?" they sneered.

"You guys don't understand. She's just pretending to be reserved."

"I'm afraid you won't know how to serve Mr. Stewart later."

"I think so too."

...

Ernie was even more triumphant, pretending to be a gentleman: "Leila, let's go and pay our respects to Grandpa together."

Leila was even more resigned.

"She's my woman, and you can't touch her!"

Suddenly, a voice rang out, instantly quieting the noisy hotel scene. Leila trembled, "This is..."

She couldn't help but think of the reply she received on her phone!

Could it be him?

Was it possible?

Wasn't he dead?

Everyone turned to look; two people came to the entrance of the hotel, a man with short, flat hair in black clothes, followed by a casually dressed young man.

He possessed a tall and assured posture, with eyes that held a deep, starry gaze, seemingly brimming with endless self-assurance. Particularly those profound eyes, resembling a vast galaxy, made it challenging to decipher his thoughts, emanating an exceedingly mature aura.

Leila, looking at the newcomer, was completely stunned, tears streaming down her eyes.

It was him!

Really him!

Even though six years had elapsed, the individual etched into the recesses of her soul remained indelible, a memory that even if reduced to ashes, Leila could recall vividly. How could she possibly forget?

Exactly!

It was him!

Walter also looked at Leila, his heart aching. The softest part of his heart was touched harshly. "I'm sorry. I'm late."

As he spoke...

He stepped forward as if there were no one else in the room.

Others were bewildered, "Who is this guy?"

"Really audacious."

"Doesn't he know that tonight is Ernie and Leila's engagement?"

"I think he clearly knows."

"Then why is he here? Is he trying to snatch the bride?"

"I think he's probably Leila's lover."

"That makes sense. For so many years, Leila has put on an air of not marrying anyone."

"She probably has a secret lover outside."

"Is this secret lover trying to rise in status?"

...

Ernie, after all, was the groom. He felt his face being disgraced. "Did you come to the wrong place?"

Walter didn't even respond to him. At this moment, his eyes were focused only on—

Leila!

It's hard to imagine how much trouble Leila had endured, how much humiliation she had suffered in these six years.

Seeing himself being ignored, Ernie's face turned iron-blue. "Are you deaf?"

Slap!

Ernie's words had barely left his lips when Nightkill unapologetically delivered a sharp slap to his face. The impact left him disheveled, blood seeping from his mouth, despite Nightkill's attempts to control the force.

If not controlled, his head would have been smashed!

Hiss!

Everyone at the scene, without exception, gasped, "God, he hit Mr. Stewart."

"It's done for. Tonight's engagement celebration is at risk of morphing into a funeral banquet."

"Afraid so."

"I don't know where these two brats came from."

...

Leila also widened her red lips slightly, "You..."

Walter walked straight to Leila, his hand gliding over her cheek. He whispered, "I'm back. From today on, I won't let you suffer anymore."

Leila instinctively tried to step back, but upon hearing Walter's words, her heart suddenly felt tranquil.

It seemed that all the grievances were thrown behind.

Leila's presence intensified Nicole's anger. She admonished, "Leila, you disobedient girl. What are you thinking? Have you forgotten all that the family has provided for you over these years?"

"How can you secretly keep a lover outside?"

"How do you justify the expectations your grandfather has for you?"

She invoked Luis's name. On the guest seat, Luis watched this scene silently, with a hint of coldness in his murky eyes. Leila became a little anxious, "Mom, you've misunderstood. He... actually, he's the person from six years ago!"

As Leila spoke...

The scene immediately erupted. Everyone stared at Walter. "My God, he's the beast from six years ago?"

"How does he have the face to come back?"

"Didn't he die in the river?"

"It seemed like he had raped a girl and was afraid of being held accountable, so he ran away."

"Why did he come back today?"

"It's simple. Look at his poor appearance; he probably didn't do well outside and came back to extort money, right?"

...

Nicole's eyes widened in disbelief, and her expression turned to one of increasing anger. "Leila, why aren't you approaching? This scoundrel dares to return. We must teach him a lesson," she asserted.

Leila was about to say something.

Bang!

Seated among the guests, Luis, who had maintained silence until now, could no longer contain himself. He slammed the table in front of him with a single palm, causing it to crack. The display of strength was far from feeble. Filled with anger, Luis's outburst brought an abrupt hush to the scene. All eyes turned to him in awe. Luis calmly raised his hand, directed it at Walter, and declared, "End him!"

Chapter 4 My Name is Walter

Hiss!

A collective intake of cold breath swept through the onlookers, and their gazes towards Walter turned pitying. "This guy is truly courting trouble."

"Exactly! Even if he hasn't fared well these past years and is seeking financial support by returning, there's no need for such audacity at this moment."

"I think he's got a problem with his head."

"I suppose you all fail to comprehend. How much money could he possibly extort? But if he manages to marry into the Harper family, that would be the pinnacle of his life."

"I think so too."

"Is this guy really here to snatch the bride today?"

"You guys better understand. The head of the Harper family has already given the order. What can he do? He'll be a corpse soon."

"Yeah, the head of the Harper family has always been decisive. I think it's over for him."

"I think so too."

"Who wouldn't think so at a time like this?"

...

The crowd discussed one after another, obviously thinking that Walter was doomed. In the hotel, seven or eight bouncers walked out and surrounded Walter.

The killing intent spread instantly!

Walter's demeanor remained unwavering, while Nightkill's eyes betrayed a glimmer of desire, a craving for blood. It had been a while since he had taken someone's life, a while since he had relished the pleasure of tearing apart his adversaries!

He awaited Walter's nod, a gesture that, in an instant, could transform the seven or eight formidable men in front of him into a sea of blood.

"What are you doing?"

However, Leila quickly stood in front of Walter, anxiously looking at Luis. "Grandpa, if you hurt him in the slightest today, I won't let you have your way."

Firm!

Resolute!

Walter's heart trembled, the softest part of him colliding once again.

She remained so kind, just like the first time they met six years ago.

"Ridiculous!"

Otis couldn't stand it anymore. "Are you still feeling ashamed? Your grandpa can let you and Ernie have a good time. This is the best ending for you."

"Do you think the scoundrel behind you can compare to one-thousandth of Ernie?"

Leila shook her head, a self-mocking smile playing on her lips. "Did you arrange my marriage to Ernie for my sake, or were you merely concerned with the advantages it would bring you? Have you genuinely cared about me all these years?"

"You..." Otis seethed with anger. Ernie, unable to contain himself, interjected, "Leila, today is meant to be a joyful celebration of our marriage. Whatever the issue, let's discuss it after we return."

"I won't go back with you," Leila said seriously.

Ernie was furious, his tone low. "Leila, you need to think it over."

"I've already thought it over."

"Good, very good," Ernie responded, turning around with a somber expression as he looked at Luis. "Master Harper, do you have an explanation for this? I've been prepared for today for a long time. Now that Leila refuses to marry, is it all over?"

Luis's eyes flashed with a hint of darkness. After all, in front of so many witnesses, he had to save face. Resorting to force here would turn everything into tomorrow's headlines.

The entire Harper family would suffer a blow to their reputation, and he couldn't afford that much loss of face. "Ernie, despite this unforeseen circumstance, rest assured, I will ensure justice for you."

Ernie's expression darkened. "Justice? How do you plan to compensate?"

Luis suppressed his anger. Despite Leila's challenging circumstances in recent years, her spirit remained unbroken. Pressing too hard might result in today's gathering turning into a bloody affair. He declared, "Leila, if you insist on defending the scoundrel behind you, I'll grant your wish. Let him marry into the Harper family. Within a year, he must generate a net market value of ten million for the Harper family. Otherwise, a year from now, don't blame me for being ruthless."

He turned and left.

The people on the scene looked at each other in astonishment. No one expected things to turn out like this.

Tate patted Otis on the shoulder. "Third brother, my niece is becoming more and more adorable."

Click!

Otis turned around, his anger barely contained. The face was at stake, and Nicole approached Leila at that moment. "You, why won't you heed the advice?"

"Ernie is so excellent, and you're not willing?"

"Why do you insist on protecting the trash behind you?"

"Have you forgotten how you've lived these many years?"

"Or have you forgotten how much harm this trash has caused you?"

"Or maybe you've forgotten that your brother's future depends on you?"

She glared at Walter, "I never thought that you, such a useless person, would still be alive."

"Since you were supposed to be dead, you shouldn't have reappeared. Why did you come back?"

"Why don't you just die?"

Nicole's words made Nightkill's eyes burst with a chilling light. Fortunately, Walter gestured to him, avoiding a bloodbath. After all, he didn't want Leila to have a hard time again.

In these few years, he owed Leila too much!

He couldn't let Leila be hurt again.

Leila's eyes were teary, but she spoke with determination, "This is my own decision."

Decision?

Nicole laughed mockingly, "Decision? What decision do you have? Is this your decision? Just wait to pay the price for your decision today. Compared to Ernie, the guy behind you can't even be mentioned."

Leila became even more determined, "Regardless, this is my decision, no matter what..."

"You..." Nicole was furious, "Aren't you thinking about your brother? Your brother is about to take over the family business. How can you be so heartless?"

Brother?

Again with the brother?

Leila smiled bitterly. Wasn't she their child as well?

Such favoritism was too much.

Nicole didn't notice Nightkill's killing intent. She wanted to tear her apart completely at this moment, cursing at Walter, "You waste. Where were you when Leila suffered before? Now that you see Leila doing well, you come back to cause trouble?"

"Do you think we can't do anything to you?"

"I bet you can't make it outside, so you came back to ruin Leila's life?"

"I really can't understand. How can there be such a disgusting person in the world?"

"Leila is really unlucky to encounter someone like you."

Nicole cursed and vented her frustration, harboring a strong desire to figuratively bite Walter to death. She shot a hostile glare at Walter, seemingly conveying a warning, before turning and leaving. Leila finally breathed a sigh of relief.

She was acutely aware that if she hadn't taken this stand, Walter would likely have faced dire consequences tonight.

She couldn't figure out her feelings for Walter.

Hatred was inevitable!

Without Walter, she wouldn't have become like this!

But when she thought of her two children, the eyes longing for paternal love...

Leila hesitated, lost in thought when a commanding figure appeared before her. She gazed at the imposing presence of Walter and was taken aback, "Is it him?"

Ernie, having lost all face this evening, seethed with anger. He glared at Walter with a dark expression, "You scoundrel, how dare you ruin my plans. Tonight, I'll ensure you bleed on the spot, better off dead!"

As Ernie spoke, a group of hefty men rushed forward, causing the startled guests to scatter.

Leila's eyes filled with concern. Before she could utter a word, Walter turned around. The cold gleam in his eyes vanished in an instant, replaced by an endless tenderness. "I'm sorry for the suffering you endured these six years. But now that I'm back, I want to make you the most esteemed woman in the world."

Deep and magnetic words!

Slightly magnetic!

As if piercing through the heart?

Leila's body trembled, and Walter gestured to Nightkill, "Take your sister-in-law out. I want to handle something myself!"

He didn't want Leila to witness that bloody scene!

"Yes!" Nightkill respectfully said, "Big sister-in-law, please come with me."

Leila felt worried and discreetly took out her phone. Seeking help when leaving was also an option.

Seeing Leila leaving, Ernie's eyes were full of disdain, "You scum, at this time, you still dare to act like a big shot? Today, I will slowly peel your skin off."

Peeling skin?

Walter stood with his hands behind his back, "Ernie, it seems like you really forgot. How did your insignificant family rise to its current position in these six years?"

Huh?

Ernie's heart trembled. How could he not know?

Six years ago, someone found him and asked him to investigate Walter. If he found Walter, he should find a way to get rid of him, and he would receive strong support!

The fact was also true!

He gained countless treasures!

Obtaining countless resources!

This allowed the Stewart family's business to continuously expand. Over the past six years, Ernie had often pondered: What is Walter's true identity? How could he wield such immense power? Eliminating him had reaped Ernie numerous benefits.

Ernie was no fool, nor was he an idiot. Contemplating the situation, his expression shifted to one of heightened shock. "Who are you?"

"Humph!"

Walter stood confidently, hands behind his back, exuding an imposing aura like a mountain. He spoke casually, "My name is Walter Wells!"

Chapter 5 A Punch to Kill

Wells?

Ernie first stared blankly, then widened his eyes, "Could you be from that family?"

Walter Wells?

Vetrad's Wells family!

Yes!

It had to be the case; otherwise, how could he have risen to such heights in just six years, starting from a humble vendor? There must be a mentor guiding him!

Ernie swiftly organized his thoughts, a shadow of gloom in his eyes. "Even if you are from the Wells family, so what? Six years ago, someone treated you that way. I bet you're just a discarded child of the Wells family."

"What right do you have to cause a scene in front of me?"

"Let me make it clear; you won't stir any waves in my presence."

Ernie shouted almost maniacally, "Six years ago, I could have killed you, and now I still can. If I eradicate you completely, I might gain even more favor from above."

"By then, even if I have to disband the entire Harper family, there might still be a chance."

Ernie looked crazy!

His eyes were full of gloom!

Exactly!

Just like this.

Walter, hands behind his back, remarked, "Facing death, and still unrepentant. Truly, you leave people feeling helpless."

Death?

Ernie mumbled, "Death? Today, it's you who will die, not me. At my command, anyone, with a single word, can bring about your demise."

"Do you still think you have any abilities?"

"It's really pathetic."

Ernie looked disdainful. "Get him, as long as you kill him, I'll give you a hundred thousand!"

A hundred thousand?

Many individuals in the vicinity revealed a glint in their eyes. They weren't exactly upstanding citizens. The acts of killing and arson weren't foreign concepts to them. At this moment, the prospect of earning a hundred thousand for ending Walter's life seemed quite appealing.

Walter self-mockingly smiled. So, his bounty was this inexpensive?

If other external forces got aware of this, would they find it amusing?

Back when the underground world placed a bounty of a billion, not a soul dared to pluck this crimson flower. What about now?

Pathetic!

With a sigh, two individuals couldn't restrain themselves, vigorously waving their fists as they charged toward Walter. Their fists swung through the air, creating a gust of wind.

Combatants!

But they were just some no-name Combatants!

"Kid, you're mine."

"I will definitely kill you."

"Killing you, this trash, I can get a hundred thousand."

...

The two yelled as they approached. Walter squinted, humming lightly, "Kneel!"

It was resounding like thunder.

Boom!

The thunder-like roar exploded in the ears of the two, almost instantly, and they both knelt on the ground.

Plump!

The powerful pressure made their knees uncontrollable, constantly trembling.

Terrifying!

Truly terrifying!

It was hard to imagine that just the pressure alone had such momentum. How strong was his strength, really?

"As long as we can kill him, I'll give fifty thousand!"

Indeed, a generous reward attracted a brave man!

A reward of fifty thousand!

The scene instantly boiled over!

Almost in the blink of an eye, the henchmen beside Ernie rushed out, eager to completely dismantle Walter.

Ernie was even more pleased, "I don't know what secrets you have, but you can't beat four hands with your fists."

"Do you really think you have any ability?"

"I'll tell you, with your kind of person, I've seen a lot. Once I kill you and present your head to the higher-ups, maybe they'll be even happier, and my position will be even more stable."

He didn't know the relationship between Walter and the Wells family, but the fact that Walter was being hunted suggested it wasn't simple.

There might be something fishy going on.

What could be confirmed, however, was that the higher-ups definitely didn't want Walter alive.

In that case!

They could just kill Walter.

Death!

As long as Walter died, everything would be fine. But soon, he was stunned.

Bang!

Just saw Walter casually raise his hand and calmly throw a punch, instantly sending a person flying.

"Ah!"

The man immediately let out a wail, his body falling to the ground like a kite with a broken string. In his mouth, he also spat out a large mouthful of blood, staining his clothes red.

Instantly fainted!

Hiss!

Faced with Walter's strength, everyone took a cold breath. You look at me, I look at you, and it's evident they saw the fear in each other's eyes. This look made people feel terrified.

One punch disabled a Combatant!

Could he be a Battle Master?

Ernie also felt a bit of danger, "What are you all standing there for? Charge up to him!"

"Don't you want money anymore?"

Money!

Just thinking about the reward!

Everyone went crazy again. They rushed out, saying, "Get the hell out there, boys! Let's team up and whack this guy right in front of us!"

"Damn right, poppin' him off solves everythin'."

"Spot on, this is the way. No need for chit-chat, let's ice him first."

"Alright, fellas, hit him together."

...

Walter shook his head, "Just a group of unruly people!"

Words fell.

The God of Slaughter appeared!

He rushed out in one step.

Bang, bang, bang!

In an instant.

The situation up front took a sudden turn. Walter threw a punch, and the crackling of bones echoed as one person's frame shattered!

The crunching sounds persisted, harmonizing with the screams of the scene, crafting the most macabre yet mesmerizing tableau!

It was terrifying.

In just a few breaths of time, apart from Walter, no one stood in front.

Ernie swallowed spit hard, "How did you do it?"

He couldn't believe his eyes. He'd been in the game for so many years, crossed some folks, and always prioritized his safety, especially in recruiting top-notch bodyguards, going the extra mile.

He had brought in quite a few heavy hitters. Yet, in front of Walter, they seemed like trash?

Taken down effortlessly?

He gazed up and locked eyes with Walter. His knees subconsciously buckled, body recoiling, and the look directed at Walter was one of heightened astonishment, "How... how'd you pull it off?"

"What do you want?"

Seeing Walter approaching him, Ernie's heart became even more panicked.

Especially at this moment, there was blood on Walter's fists, giving off a faint demonic feeling?

Not simple!

Walter didn't even bother with Ernie, mocking him with a smile, "Ernie, I told you, tonight, you will pay the price for your choices."

"The Stewart family will be destroyed tonight!"
